The election was a landslide. America has spoken.
As promised, I titled this post according to election results. I believe God’s intervention is apparent, just as it was in 2016. Those who prayed that the principles of God would prevail, and those policies which opposed biblical principles would be defeated, had their prayers answered.
However, much prayer is still needed. First of all, for President Trump’s continued willingness to follow biblical principles. Second, protection from harm and sickness for himself, his family, J. D. Vance and his family, and all others who support these standards. Also for wisdom and guidance in the President’s selection of cabinet members and key positions in his administration.
Far left-wing members of the opposing party have already voiced their determination to continue to fight for their agenda, which includes abortion rights up to the moment of birth, and in some cases after birth; transgender surgery rights for illegals and prisoners; same-sex marriage; the rights of men to participate in women’s sports and enter their locker rooms; defunding the police, etc.
I continue to maintain that abortion has nothing to do with what they are calling ‘reproductive rights’. The definition of reproduction is: “to produce (new individuals of the same kind) by a sexual or asexual process.” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). So when the party says it supports ‘reproductive rights’ they are really saying they support the right to recreate. They use this as a euphemism for abortion, which is a term the liberals understand and support to the level of hysteria.
The definition of ‘abortion’ is: “termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus; induced expulsion of a human fetus.” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary).
Clearly, abortion is murder. Especially when you substitute ‘baby’ for embryo and fetus.
Before (thankfully) departing from the subject of politics I want to mention a few other things:
Harris’s ‘concession’ speech indicated she would continue to fight for her ‘values’. See my September post under the heading “Kamala Harris Platform” https://debradiaz.com/as-the-stomach-turns/, and the October post where I address some of the critical issues. https://debradiaz.com/awake-but-not-woke/.
The war in Gaza needs much prayer. Prime Minister Netanyahu has voiced his approval of President Trump’s election and his hope for continued support from the United States.
Other nations that will need President Trump’s full attention are Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and Ukraine. Critical situations also exist in Yemen, Afghanistan, Sudan, and many other countries.
Also needing President Trump’s immediate action are the open border situation and its resulting influx of dangerous drugs, including the deadly fentanyl.
Prayers needed for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and their followers!
Here are some interesting things about the history of Donald J. Trump quoted from an email from The Epoch Times:
“Trump started his rise to fame and fortune in his native New York. After leaving the White House in 2021, he now lives in Florida at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
…He built an international real estate empire and became a household name while starring in the reality TV series, ‘The Apprentice’. He has also authored several books.
Before he became the standard-bearer for a revamped version of the Republican Party, Trump had changed his political affiliation several times…Trump switched to the Republican Party in 2011, records show.
On June 16, 2015, he and his wife, Melania Trump, rode down an escalator at Trump Tower in Manhattan to announce his candidacy (for President).
That day, he debuted his MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN slogan…
In 2016, Trump became the unlikely victor of the presidential election, making him the first U.S. President with no prior experience in public affairs or as military commander. Throughout the campaign season, polls showed Trump trailing Democrat Hilary Clinton, longtime politician and wife of former President Bill Clinton.
During his presidency, Trump fought a barrage of political attacks that began immediately after he took the oath of office in 2017.
He became the third U.S. president to be impeached, and stands alone as the sole president to be impeached twice. The Senate acquitted him both times.
During the first two years of his term, the president and dozens of people close to him were ensnared in the so-called Russian-collusion inquiry headed by special counsel Robert Mueller. The special counsel concluded the investigation with a report that did not document any evidence of collusion.
In the final year of his presidency, Trump grappled with the COVID-19 pandemic and a summer of race riots as he campaigned for re-election. His Democratic opponent was Joe Biden, a long-time senator who served as vice-president under Barak Obama.
A Trump White House statement said his presidential accomplishments included a strong economy with low interest rates, massive deregulation to spur business growth, and taking historic action to promote peace in the Middle East. He was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in the Middle East.
He received his education at the New York Military Academy, a private boarding school, followed by Fordham University and Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics.
Trump has five children and ten grandchildren.
(After his election) Trump said: “We’re going to fix our borders. We’re going to fix everything about our country.”
The president-elect will have to work with Congress to deliver on some of his other promises…To tackle inflation, Trump would boost domestic energy production by increasing oil drilling on public lands and offering tax breaks on oil, gas, and coal producers.
Trump plans to bring on billionaire Elon Musk to head a new Department of Government Efficiency, which Musk has said will be key in getting inflation under control.
The president-elect’s picks will be closely watched because many of the people he selected during his first term ended up turning against him, especially in the aftermath of the contested 2020 election.
Trump challenged the outcome of the 2020 race in several battleground states and refused to bow out of the race until January 6, 2021, when a crowd of his supporters clashed with police on Capitol grounds and breached the building while Congress certified the results of the election.
After Trump left the White House on January 20, 2021, the Democrats used the events of January 6 to impeach Trump in the House of Representatives, making him the first president to face two impeachments. The Senate exonerated Trump in both cases.
The impeachments were only the first in a series of unprecedented events that ultimately led to Trump’s comeback four years later. He was banned from several social media platforms, had his residence raided by federal agents, faced several indictments on the state and federal levels, posed for a mugshot taken at a Georgia jail, survived two assassination attempts, and went up against two Democratic Party nominees in a single election.
In the face of the challenges, he ran a successful campaign…and made gains with parts of the electorate long-aligned with the Democrats, including Hispanics and young men.
‘God spared my life for a reason’, Trump said during his victory speech on election night…He has repeatedly said his top priority on the first day in office would be to seal the southern border with Mexico.”
END OF QUOTE FROM THE EPOCH TIMES
From Nora Lam Ministries: “I have received insider information that during his term as President, Donald Trump and the U.S. State Department secretly rescued persecuted Christians from China. No other president before Trump has demonstrated the courage to take this bold stand against Communist China.
Dozens of church members were arrested and beaten with clubs, jolted with electric cattle prods, and burned with cigarettes. When they fainted, buckets of water were poured on them to revive them. Interrogators stomped on the fingers of male prisoners and horrifically abused the helpless women prisoners.
This unprecedented stand on behalf of the persecuted church by President Trump in in response to Communist Dictator Xi Jinping’s launching a deadly new era of persecution against what is estimated now as 100 million Christians in China.”
SILLINESS
Some reactions from Democrats on Trump’s re-election:
Harvard University canceled classes the day after the election so Democrats could recover.
“Utterly ridiculous…” Stephen A. Smith
“Hysteria…” Sean Hannity
“Angry women vow to make men pay for voting for Trump, ranting and cutting off their hair, saying they don’t need men for anything, including sex…”
Liberal democrats are clueless and can’t understand why they lost…Judicial Watch
My comment: “It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to…” (song lyric) 😊
HAPPY VETERAN’S DAY
Veteran’s Day is a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
History of Veterans’ Day (Department of Veterans’ Affairs).
“To all the brave men and women who have worn the military uniform to fight for our freedoms, thank you.
For an active duty service member, there’s nothing like coming home from a deployment…but for those serving right now in hotspots around the world, that day seems like an eternity away.
When you turn on the news and see what’s happening in the world, it’s an important reminder of how grateful we should be to those who serve in America’s all-volunteer military, the families who care for them, and every service member who has completed their obligation to our country and returned home.
Military service calls for complete commitment to something larger than one’s self. It means putting aside your own needs to bear the responsibility for the security of everything we hold dear in the United States.”
